what is the basic qualification required to join in nanotechnology?

Nanotechnologists need a minimum of a Masters level of education. They need creativity, an aptitude for analysis and problem-solving and strong skills in mathematics, science and computing. Nanotechnologists conduct research and need to be able to visualize and explain ideas clearly. They need to be able to work independently and work well with a multidisciplinary team. Excellent laboratory skills and attention to detail are essential.

In India there is No university/Institutes that is offering Undergraduate Course in Nanotechnology.In Indian you will able to do this course after completing your Post Graduate Course/Undergraduate Engineering.This course which is available in Indian is M.Tech in nanotechnology.To do this course you will required to fulfill these Eligibility conditions :

• You should have an Undergraduate Engineering course from recognized university.
• If you have a Master degree then you can also apply for this course.
• Your minimum marks in Undergraduate/Master degree course should be 55%.

Your Subject stream in Engineering/Post Graduate course should be :

1. Physics.
2. Chemistry.
3. Mathematics.
4. Material Science.
5. Bio-Technology.
6. Computer Science.
7. Bio-Medical.
8. Chemical.

To take admission in M.Tech course you will have to apply for GATE Entrance Exam.


It deals with the research field and includes study of nano Particles.You must have the Analytical Skills and Interest for doing Research in this filed.You should also have the good Skills in Mathematics and Computer Programming.


Major Areas which you will study through this course :

• Implementing Techniques for Nano Devices and Equipments.
• Use of Nano Technology in the filed of Medicine and Surgery.
• fabrication of Nano Particles.
• Producing cheaper products with Light weights and Durable...etc.

You must study Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology at 10+2 level and also completed Graduation in this field to become eligible for Masters course in Nanotechnology.
