Thumbs up Re: What courses are preferable for ladies in M.Tech? I have completed B.Tech in mechanical with 72%

Hi Aspirant,

1.Mechanical Engineering is evergreen and much needed discipline of engineering.

2.With Mechanical Engineering background one can even specialize in Aeronautical
Engineering at postgraduate level.

3.It is truly wide based and there are always opportunities in mechanical engineering.

4.Mechanical branch is offered in most of the engineering colleges and universities. For those who are not able to get into the regular engineering courses. AMIME is the best alternative option.

5A student joining engineering must understand that there are so many areas of specialisation available for each branch of engineering.

6.If you major in Mechanical Engineering you can choose to specialise in
thermal engineering
machine design
manufacturing
industrial engineering
aerospace engineering etc.

7.If you plan to do higher studies after engineering, there are ample opportunities available in India and abroad.

8.In India you need to write GATE to be eligible to do higher studies. If you want to do your M.Tech in premier institutes like IISc or IITs then you need to at least get a rank lower than 500.

As a mechanical Engineer, you have a lot of scope. You can seat for the core companies like:

1.LNT;
2.Tata Motors;
3.TVS Motors;
4.Vedanta;
5.Hindustan National Glass;
6.Godrej;

Besides, you can also appear for some software companies like:

1.TCS;
2.Tech-Mahindra;
3.CTS;
4.Wipro;

and many more.....

Thank You.

Dear aspirant,
You can take any specialization in your MTech programme based on your interest.Now a days girls are going ahead in each and every field.Whatever the specialization you are interested in you can go accordingly.My suggestion is to go specialization in mechanical engineering because you have completed your BTech in mechanical engineering.
