You have a lot of time for preparing for IIT if you are in 11th right now.You can go for coaching in some good coaching centres for a 2 year course or for 1 year when you have passed 11th.Do not run after brand name as they charge extra money from you and individual attention is not possible.Only if you are a brilliant student can you study well in brands like Aakash,Narayana.If you want the teacher to explain to you individually or if you are weak student then it will be very difficult.
You can also go for correspondence courses offered by various centres across India and do its self study.You will have to work very hard for getting into IIT .Do take mock tests regularly as they give you a practice of the real exam....
