Re: What is the difference between AMIE and B.E? Is it a regular course?
B.E stands for Bachelor of Engineering. It is a four years undergraduate course in different disciplines of engineering. Admission to this course is done on basis of score in various entrance exams like Joint Entrance Exam, State Level Engineering examination, SRMEEE, VITEEE etc.
AMIE stands for Associate Member of Indian Institution of Engineers. It is a professional certificate course which a candidate gets after qualifying examination conducted by IE. It is a regular course which consists of project works. AMIE is considered equivalent to Bachelor of Engineering in various government job entrance exams. AMIE candidates are eligible for all entrance exams after Bachelor's degree in Engineering. |
