IIT-JEE and AIEEE are the top level Engineering Entrance Exams in India.

~> IIT-JEE is conducted jointly by IITs every year for admission to IITs all over India.
~> Around 5 lakh candidates appear for this exam every year and nearly 9600 get seats in IITs.

~> AIEEE is conducted by CBSE every year in the last week of April for admission to NITs, IIITs and other Deemed Universities of India.
~> Around 11 lakh candidates appear for this exam and about 30,000 get seats in AIEEE Colleges.

AIEEE is considered little bit easier than IIT-JEE examination.

~> From next year i.e. 2013, both exams will be merged into Single Entrance Test called ISEET.
~> It will have two stages i.e. JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.
~> Every candidate can appear for Mains Exam while for Advanced Exam, candidate will have to be in Top 20 percentile in his/her respective Board.

Hi dear..

If you take up Science stream and get subjects Physics, Chemistry, Maths then you have to give these entrances to go for Engineering in any branch.

First of all let's look at their full form :-

~> IIT JEE -> Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination

This entrance exam is for Engineering aspirants who want to take admission in various branches like MAE, CVL, IT, CSE, EEE, ECE etc.

This exam is only for the admission into IITs which are the most reputed and best colleges of India.

Here is a list of all IITs :-

~> AIEEE - (All India Engineering Entrance Examination)

This is also an entrance exam like IIT JEE, but it's relatively easy than JEE.

It also gives admission into various colleges all across the country.

For more updates you can go to their official sites

IIT

www.iitb.ac.in/

AIEEE

www.aieee.nic.in

All the best..!!

Regards

Basic difference between the two :-
1. AIEEE means All India Engineering Entrance Examination and IIT means Indian Institue of Technology.

2. IIT is a group of institutions and AIEEE is an examination system conducted for various engineering institutes in India.

3. AIEEE pertains to admission in varous architecture and engineering institutes across the country, including the National Institutes of Technology. On other hand, separate entrance examination called IIT-JEE, which is comonly caled as Joint Entrance Examination, is held for IIT seats.

4. When comparing the two entrance exams, the IIT-JEE is considered to be the most prestigious entrance exam. The IIT-JEE is also tougher than the AIEEE.

5. When comparing the questions asked in IIT-JEE and AIEEE, the former examination is very complex.

6. While IIT-JEE stresses on building concepts and right application of the concept, the AIEEE stresses on demand, accuracy and speed.

AIEEE and IIT-JEE both are entrance exams for engineering. AIEEE stands for All India Engineering Entrance Exam. The result of this exam is accepted by various universities in the country including National Institute of Technology and IIITs.

IIT-JEE is only limited to admission in Indian Institute of Technology. As you may know that IITs are the most reputed Engineering institutes in the country. Those who want admission in IIT have to appear for the IIT-JEE entrance exam.

You can appear for both these exams only after completing 12th standard with PCM subjects. It is important to understand that both these exams will be scrapped this year. Which means that this year AIEEE and IIT-JEE won't be conducted.

Instead there will be a new entrance exam called ISEET. The Ministry of Human Resources and Development want a single entrance exam for engineering. This lead to the new entrance exam called ISEET.

It is not only expected to replace IIT-JEE and AIEEE but all other state level entrance exams as well. The ministry has been working hard to convince all the states to replace their entrance exams with ISEET.

It has received some success as Maharashtra has also decided to join ISEET and scrap its own entrance exam. Other states like Gujarat have also shown interest in joining the ISEET from 2014 onwards.

ISEET Eligibility

1. Candidate should have completed 12th with PCM subjects.

2. At least 40 percent marks in 12th standard.

AIEEE stands for All India Engineering Entrance Exam , is conducted by Central Board of Education in India. This is a national level competitive test is for admission to various under-graduate engineering and architecture courses. The examination consists of only two papers: Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech courses and Paper 2 for B.Arch courses. A candidate can opt for any or both the papers. Paper 1 has three sections: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with equal weight for each subject.

IIT JEE stands for Indian Institute of Technology joint exam in India . It is compititive exam for admission in the sixteen Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).IT was organised ever year by one of the IITs.
But on sept. 20,2012 the Ministry of Human Resource Development announced the replacement of AIEEE with JEE Main, which will be held on April7,2013.The 15 IITs will holda two part JEE(Advance) on june 2,2013 for entry into the system.Top 1.5 lakh scorers of JEE(Main),which will serve as screening test for IITs, will be eligible to take JEE (Advace).

Dear Aspirant,

What is the difference between IIT JEE and AIEEE?

A:

The IIT-JEE and the AIEEE are both national entrance exams for the admission of +2 students into the Engineering stream.

But the difference between them is that JEE is conducted for giving seats in the IIT's and deemed IIT's in INDIA.

Where as the AIEEE is the exam for the NIT's REC's of various states. Also the Deemed colleges.

These both are the top colleges in the India.Which has a great reputation through out the world.

IIT-JEE is considered to be the highest level of exam in the india and second comes the AIEEE.

Now the government is planning to mixup both the exams and conduct only one exam for the students.

This changes are to be seen from this year 2013.

Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's.

yes you should give AIEEE.
IIT and AIEEE both are Engineering enterance examination.
IF you get into IITs its the best.
And every college other than IIT consider AIEEE marks.
But there are certain college which conduct there own test.
For example if ypu wish to do BTech in Foodtech or Diary Tech, then N.D.R.I Karnal, one of the best conducts its own examination.

Difference Between IIT JEE and AIEEE

IIT JEE

Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is conducted every year for admissions to IITs which are the most prominent colleges in India for B.Tech..other than the IITs, there are some of the prominent colleges which allow admissions through IIT JEE like IISER, ISM Dhanbad and there are some other colleges which take the score of IIT JEE into account for giving admissions..

About 9000-10,000 seats are present under the merit list of IIT JEE..

A candidate can appear for IIT-JEE only if :-

>> A candidate has secured an aggregate of 60% in 12th in Physics, Chemistry and Maths..

>> Candidates must be either appearing for 12th boards or must have cleared 12th boards in the previous year..(means there are only 2 attempts for IIT JEE)

IIT JEE has completely changed its pattern and it conducts its exam in 2 stages :-

>> IIT JEE Mains
>> IIT JEE Advanced

You can Click Here for more details on IIT JEE Mains

Only 1.5 lakh candidates shall be selected for the IIT JEE Mains..

AIEEE

AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Exam) is conducted every year for admissions to all the AICTE approved colleges for B.Tech/B.E all over India..

Some of the most prominent institutions in India which come under AIEEE are the NITs(National Institute of Technology), PEC (Punjab Engineering College), DTU (Delhi Technical University), BITS Mesra and many other prominent colleges..

About 25,000-30,000 seats are available under AIEEE..

You need to have the following eligibility criterion for appearing for AIEEE :-

>> Candidate must have secured 55% in 12th boards for Physics, Chemistry and Maths..

>> A candidate can appear 3 times for AIEEE..once in the year of appearing for 12th and the in the next 2 consecutive years..

You can Click Here for more details on the exam..

You can refer to the following books for your preparations :-

>> Concept of Physics Part-1 and 2 by H.C.Verma

>> Numerical Chemistry by P.Bahadur

>> Organic Chemistry by O.P.Tandon

>> Fundamentals of Mathematics by M.L.Khanna

Both the papers are conducted for B.Tech admissions but IIT JEE is comparatively difficult rather than AIEEE..

The exams are conducted on topics based on class 11th and 12th..

all the best..

With Warm Regards
Nitz

Default Re: What is the difference between IIT JEE and AIEEE?

firstly let me tell you about both the exams

both IIT and AIEEE are the entrance exam for engineering...

IIT is higher level than the AIEEE.

if you are giving IIT then you are eligible to get admission in IIT colleges

some IIT's in India
IIT karagpur
IIT DELHI
IIT PAWAI
IIT BOMBAY
IIT HYDREBAD

and if you are giving AIEEE then you can get admission in any of the NIT colleges

pattern for AIEEE

ques no 01 to 30 - Maths
ques no 31 to 60 - Physic
ques no 61 to 90 - Chemistry

books to be refered for AIEEE
pradhnya publication for all the three subject
Physic
Chemistry
Maths.

paper pattern for IIT changes every year.

Note Their is negative system in both of the exams

in AIEEE if your answer is wrong then their will be -1 and for every correct ans will give you +4 marks

best luck for the exam ...
dates of both exam are in month of may.

Well dear there is not much difference between iit and aieee as both are the exams for the admission in b.tech.
IIT EXam-it is a all india level exam conducted by iits for b.tech admission in iits.
Aieee exam-it is also a all india exam conducted by cbse for the b.tech admission in nits and iiits.
From this year both are merged and they conduct a combined entrance exam.
Best of luck

Cool Re: What is the difference between IIT JEE and AIEEE?

IIT JEE is a common enterance test taken by 8 institute of the india independently.
government role is negligible in their test method.
they take their own test, hey put their own condition,
means everything they do is with the concent of all the 8 instiutute.

but when talking to AIEEE, this is government owned enterance test where government role is crucial.
conditions, criteris, and everything is marked by the government only.
