Re: What to do to appear for UPSC exam? How many papers are there?
Hi
I think you are confused with what UPSC actually is. UPSC stands for the Union Public Service Commission which is basically a government of India body or organization which conducts all the Class 1 officer recruitment Entrance Exams in India. There are many entrance exams which are conducted by this Organization. But you have not mentioned which exams detail you want. Some of the main Entrance Exams which are conducted by the UPSC are as follows :- 1. IAS - Indian Administrative Services 2. IPS - Indian Police Services 3. IFS - Indian Foreign Services These are also know as Civil Service Examinations. 4. SCRA - Special Class Railway Apprentices 5. NDA - National Defense Academy 6. CDS - Combined Defense Services 7. IES - Indian Engineering Services etc and many more.. You are right that you know these papers are in two parts : Prelims and Mains. But since you have not mentioned your background, I am not able to provide you exact information. The syllabus for most of the exams differ and so do post back if you want to know more details about your options. You may also Click Here to visit the official website. Hope this helps All the best Regards RANJEET |
