Hello friend,
Union Public Service Commission, usually referred as UPSC conducts various examination and each examination has different requirements which must be fulfilled to be considered eligible for the particular exam.
Some of the examinations conducted are:
Civil service exam for recruitment of IPS ,IAS and IFS officials.
Combined defense service exam for recruitment of officers in Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force.
Central Police Force exam
NDA and NA exam
Engineering service exam

Apart from these exams, there are various other conduced by the UPSC.
As you have not mentioned which exam you are asking about, I would suggest you to refer to the notification of the examinations which is available on the official website of UPSC from time to time.
