To become Sub-Inspector in the Police Department, you will have to qualify an entrance examination conducted on state level. This entrance examination is conducted by Police Recruitment Board or the Public Service Commission of each state separately.

To be considered eligible for the examination, you must have qualified Bachelors Degree examination conducted by a recognized university. In most of the states, the age limit is between 20-28 years, however, this may vary depending upon states and therefore, you must refer to the official website of the Police Recruitment of Board of your state.

The selection procedure for the post of Sub-Inspector in almost every state comprise of the following stages:

Written Examination
Physical Test
Interview

The notification for the same is published on the official website of the regulatory body conducting the examination as well as in Local Newspapers of every state.
