You need to have a graduation for Sub Inspector of Police. Depending on your state you have to appear for the examinations conducted by state government for Sub Inspector posts. In many of the states for SI the qualification is graduation. You have to be fit physically and mentally. Both written and physical examinations conducted. Based on merit one will be selected.

To become Inspector of police, the candidate has to fulfill the following requirements.
ELIGIBILITY : * Candidate should be citizen of India. * Candidates age should be between 21-28 years of age. * Age relaxation is applicable as per norms. * Candidate should have passed graduation in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Law or engineering from any recognized university. * Candidate should also be physically and mentally fit. SELECTION PROCEDURE : The candidate has to write the written exam conducted by the staff selection commission of respective state. The candidates who qualify in the written exam is eligible to appear for Physical test and interview round. |

Having completed BBA degree you are eligible for applying for joining in as Inspector of Police by writing the IPS Exam conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and is held every year.
Eligibility Needed: -> The candidate need to have a citizenship in India -> Age limit needed is 21-30 years for general category and there are relaxation which is allowed for other category candidates such as 5 years extra for SC/ST and for OBC it is 21-33 years. -> To tell about the educational qualification, candidate need to have completed a degree in any stream from a recognized university. Even final year appearing candidate is eligible for applying for the exam. The candidate who satisfies them all is eligible for applying for the IPS exam.
