sir i am serving in indian army age is 35 and i am graduate . My retirement date is close. So i would like to join u p police post of sub insp civil. Sir am i eligible and what is procedure for above.

Eligibility :
Candidates having a degree from any recognized university can apply for the post of sub-inspector of police.

[/B]Physical Requirements :

**A initial 5 kilometer run which should be completed in 25 minutes (* impossible without practice)

**A long jump in which a candidate should jump a distance of 3.80 meters (* easy)

**A 100 meter sprint which should be completed in 15 seconds. (* easy)

**An 800 meter run which should be completed in 170seconds (* easy).

**A high jump in which a jump of 1.2 meters is required (* practice) and

**A shot put throw which should be thrown a distance of 5.60 meters (* practice makes it easy)



exam pattern:

**English (Descriptive)

**Arithmetic

**test of reasoning

**Mental ability.

**General studies

Selection Process:

**Through a series of physical ability tests followed by a written test.

eligibility criteria is the candidate should commplete a bachelor degree from a recognised university and should not be aged 25 as of march 2012.

Sub Inspector (SI)

A sub-inspector is generally in command of a police station ( with head constables, the equivalent of corporals, commanding police outposts). He is the lowest ranked officer who under Indian Police rules and regulations can file a charge sheet in court, and is usually the first investigating officer. Officers subordinate to him cannot file charge sheets, but can only investigate cases on his behalf.

Eligibility Criteria for Sub Inspector

The Minimum eligibility criterion is a graduation. The graduation can be done in any subject area. Also important is that the graduation should be secured from a recognized university or institute. The age limit should be between 21-30 years while applying to the reservation category. You should also be physically fit because you will have to appear for the physical test if you have cleared the written test.

Physical Standards

Height - 165 cms (for men), 150 cms (for women)

Chest - 76 cms with expansion ( There shall be no such requirement in case of female candidates)

Vision - Eye-Sight (with or without glasses)

Distant Vision : 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye

Near Vision : 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye

1.the candidate should pursue any bachelor's degree from any recognised university
2.the chest should be 80cms for unexpanding; 85cms for expanding chest
3.the candidate should have age between 20 to 25 years
4.the candidate should be a citizen of india.

And your age should be in between 20 to 25 years .
And there will be relaxation for ST / ST category candidate 5 yrs and 3 years for OBC category candidates.
And you must be physically fot

I am Confused about Eligibility Because you don't mention your Age.
you have to mention your Age.

Sub-Inspector Is High Post in Police Department.

Here is the Eligibility Criteria for Police Sub-Inspector =>

you must a citizen of India.
Educational: you have to complete your graduation degree in any Stream from recognized university of India. Final year Candidates also Eligible.

Age Limit: your age must between 21 to 30 years at the time of Apply.
Age Relaxation is Available for Reserved Categories.


Physical:
Height: 162.5cms.
Chest: 79cms. - 84 cms.

To be Sub-Inspector you also have to complete a Race of 10 Kilometers in 1 Hrs.
after Completing all Eligibility you will be Sub-Inspector.

The educational eligibility for sub Inspector of police is graduation.Since you are BBA which is equivalent of graduation,you are eligible to appear for the written exam for selection of Sub-Inspector.
