Re: How can I become a Pilot if I am a commerce student?
It is not possible for you to become a pilot. You would have been eligible only if you had studied science subjects in 12th standard. It is also compulsory to study Maths during 12th standard. Being from a commerce background you are eligible for courses like B.Com, BBA, LLB. You are eligible for BCA if you have studied Maths in 12th standard. CA, CS, ICWA are some of the other options.

Quote:
You cannot become a Pilot by being a commerce student as for joining in as a pilot you need to have done in science stream with physics and mathematics as subjects You need to write the entrance exam for joining in as a pilot in Indian Air Force and the possible exam which you can write for joining in Indian Air Force after +2 is by writing the entrance exam which is NDA exam For applying for this exam you need to have completed +2 with physics and mathematics as subjects for joining in Indian Air Force Being a commerce student you cannot join in Indian Air Force as a pilot. It is better that you continue your studies and then apply for the CDS exam This exam offers candidates to join in Indian Air Force who have completed graduation with physics and mathematics as subjects. Re: How can I become a Pilot if I am a commerce student?
To become a pilot firstly you have to get the students pilot license. For this you have to give an exam, You should pass class 10 to give this exam and your minimum age should be 16 yrs of old.
The exam is an objective written type exam which will test your mathematical knowledge about aircraft, engines and aerodynamics. The next stage is the private pilot license(PPL). This includes 60 hours of flying( 40 hours with instructors and 20 hours solo) along with which a written exam needs to be given. The exam will be conducted by the DGCA. To give this exam you have to minimum pass 10+2 exam with maths, physics and chemistry. Age should be between 18-30 years. The last stage is the commercial pilot license for which you need to know minimum 200 hours of flying. |

Re: How can I become a Pilot if I am a commerce student?
If you want to pursue becoming a pilot then you can do physics from an open school after you complete 12th, then pass the exam. Then you will have done both maths and physics(the main subjects you need to become a pilot).
