Hello sir, good morning.i want to know about government jobs for ece student and how to apply for that job?please,say that information.

ECE students have the option to join engineering services by qualifying IES exam. You can also try for a job in PSU like CONCOR, IOCL or GAIL. GATE with a minimum of 60-65% marks is required to join these PSU. In banks you have the option to join as Specialist Officer. In defense you can join as Officer by qualifying CDS exam.

There are two options for Electronics and Communications Engineers in government sector. However it would be mandatory to appear for the entrance exam. You can apply for jobs in Public Sector Undertaking or you can apply for the job through Indian Engineering Service.


Indian Engineering Service

This is a very reputed entrance exam for engineers which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The exam is conducted for 300+ jobs in central government departments. These jobs are considered very reputed and therefore thousands of engineering candidates apply for them.


Eligibility

1. You should be citizen of India.

2. B.Tech degree from recognized university.

3. Final year students can also apply.

4. Age limit is 21 to 30 years.

5. Age relaxation of upto 3 years for OBC.

6. Age relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST.


Public Sector Undertaking

Basically PSU or Public Sector Undertakings are the companies that are controlled by government of India. In other terms, government owns at least 51 percent stake in such companies. There are more than 150 PSUs in India. But unfortunately there isn't any Common Written Exam.

Each company conducts separate exam for which a separate notification is issued by the company.


Eligibility

1. Only citizens of India can apply.

2. B.Tech degree from any recognized university.

3. At least 60 percent marks in Engineering.

4. A valid GATE score may be required.

5. Age limit is 21 to 30 years.

6. upto 3 years relaxation for OBC.

7. Relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST.
