What is IBPS exam? Is it necessary for Bank Clerical Post?


What is ibps exm & is it necessory for bank clerical post ...please tlel me the answer

IBPS stands for Institue of Banking Personnel Selection. Now a days,IBPS conduct the CWE bank exam every year for Po,clerk and Specialist Officers post for 19 public sector of bank.

CWE stands for commen written exam.

After qualifying this exam you will get a score card. This score card will be valid for 1 year.After that you can give the interview of desired follow bank.

Bank of Maharashtra
Canara Bank
Central Bank of India
Corporation Bank
Dena Bank
Indian Bank
Indian Overseas Bank
Oriental Bank of Commerce
Punjab National Bank
Punjab & Sind Bank
Syndicate Bank
Union Bank of India
United Bank of India
UCO Bank
Vijaya Bank

If you are interested to apply for clerk you should be 12th pass with 55% and 10th with 60% marks from recognised board.

Your age should be 18 to 28 years, if you are general category. relaxation for obc/sc/st.

Accroding new pattern,paper will be objective type which contains the question of five following subjects- reasoining,english language,
quantitative aptitude,computer knowledge,general awarness.

When IBPS exams will be conducted and how we know and if we dont write this exam what will happen wheather it is necessary to write this exam plz tell me...........

i have done my 12th and and now doing graduation, now i want to apply for banking clerical post, is it necessary that firstly applied for IBPS???

Dear Friend ,

IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.

In The start of 2011 , a group of 19 public sector banks except State Bank Of India came together and decided that they will conduct a Common written examination for the post of clerks as well as PO and provide a score card to the qualified candidates so that they can give interview in these 19 public sector banks for a time period of 1 year on the basis of the score they obtained in the exam.

So , If you want to apply for clerical or PO posts in these banks then it is necessary for you to qualify in IBPS common written Exam , but if you are applying For State Bank of India clerical posts ot PO Posts , then it is not necessary as SBI conducts its written examination separately.
