I have one question what is major phase in nic requirement whether written test or interview . I am got selected in written for scientific officer grade-A post than what are the probabilities for final selection . and what type of preparation is required in interview . is there any coaching institute for interview preparation of these type.

i m going to atten the nic written exam. could you please share the syllabus and your experience in exam and interview? it will be very much useful to me.

1.Software engineering.
2.Principal of Programming.
3.Database(SQL,RDBMS).
4. Automata theory.
5. computer Network.
6. Data structure.
7. Java and C Programming.
8. Engineering Mathematics.

Today(200/11/2011): I am bharath. I wrote my exam today. there are four sets of question papers(A,b,c,d). In my opinion, if u would have prepared to the gate exam u can achieve this. It covered all topics like:

1. Software Engineering
2. Database(SQL,RDBMS)
3. C
4. Java
5. Computer graphics
6. Computer networks
7. Data Structures
8. Computer architecture
9. TOC
