Re: What is the maximum age limit for TET (Teacher Eligibility Test)?
TET refers to Teacher Eligibility Test and it is held for recruitment of teachers in government funded schools.
Basically, TETs are of two types, one is the CTET ( Central Teacher Eligibility Test ) for recruitment of teachers in CBSE affiliated schools while the other one is the state TETs held for recruitment of teachers in government schools funded by concerned state government. As far as you are concerned about the age limit for appearing in TETs then for your information I would like to let you know that the minimum age required for appearing in TETs is 18 years while there is no maximum age limit for appearing in CTET and most of the state TETs. But, few state TETs do have some certain maximum age limit for appearing in the same examination. For more details regarding CTET you can refer to the link www.ctet.nic.in while for details regarding different state TETs you can refer to their concerned official links. |

Re: What is the maximum age limit for TET (Teacher Eligibility Test)?
For securing a job as a school teacher TET is compulsory along with a valid BEd certificate. There is usually no upper age limit for appearing in TET exam.
However in some states, if you belong to general category, the age limit for general category is 37 years. And for reserved category, the age relaxation is 40 (OBC) or 42 (SC or ST) years. However in most cases states there might be no upper age limit. |
