What is medical biotechnology? What is the scope? I am a student of BSc Part I(Biotech)
I am student B.sc part1 (biotech). I got 89.6% in class 12. what to do after this to get comfortable life & how . what is medical biotechnology.
what are its scope & how i can do this. |

Hieee..
there is a masters program in Medical biotechnology..to take up that u need to take up science subjects in 12th and then complete ur bachelors in biotechnology.. and yes medical biotechnology has a very good scope not only in India but also abroad..After u complete ur PG in Medical biotech, u can work in Pharma companies, hospitals, Research labs etc.. if u wish to study more u can do ur PhD also but doing ur PhD abroad is better.U can appear for either of the mentioned exams like IELTS, TOEFL,GRE. there is a good and bright future abroad too.. wish u all good luck.. |

if you are interested in your course then you have made the right choice. Biotechnology has become one of the fast growing sector and therefore having a great scope in future. Bio-technologists can find careers with pharmaceutical companies, chemical, agriculture and allied industries, medicine, Nutrition, Genetics, Nuclear Science,Agricultural sciences, Research and Development. Working in biotechnology involves research, manufacturing, quality control and marketing. Labs and companies employ people from diverse backgrounds. Scientists work in research and development,as well as in quality control. Scientists in Quality Control are responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a)quality standards b) environmental and health standards during the manufacturing process Research Scientists are responsible for identifying patentable inventions and, directing and conducting their individual experiments. Engineers maintain, design and optimize a) processes for manufacturing drugs b) equipment used in labs during the research process and in plants during the manufacturing process. Physicians design clinical trials to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new drugs. Computer programmers and IT specialists build systemsto model molecular structures MBAs and business graduates are responsible for the running and growth of the company or labs business and profits. You would require a masters degree in most areas, therefore choose the post graduate degree of your choice. All the Best! |

I have recently appeared for 12th board exams(gujarat board) and now i am going to appear for NEET and GUJCET. I expect 75-85% in 12th. I want to go for pharmacy,biotechnology(medical or agricultural) or genetics.I am confused. Please let me know which of these has a good scope in india.
