what is more important for admission, board exam marks or aptitude test performance?can anybody tell me about process of iiser counselling?

both are most important to admission into that .
because without board exam marks you are not shortlisted for the exam
and without getting good marks in exam you can't enter into that college.

your board exam marks are just a qualification to apply for these examinations that would get u into iit's or iiser and your performance in the aptitude would actually determine the fate of your admission. so i would say keeping track of your qualifyimg marks in the board exams you need to perform well in the aptitude test also to have an edge over other aspirants or competitors.
and the counselling for iiser is in the first week of july for candidates applying under KVPY and IIt-JEE and the candidates applying on the basis of merit in state/ central board exams will have an aptitude test in the 3rd week of july and the based on their performance in the test they will be selected.

Admission Channels to take admission in iiser is given below
1)Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) : SX, SA, SB, SP
2)IIT-JEE 2012; Rank list
3)Central and State board (CSB) : With high aggregate scores in board exam (XII) and IISER science aptitude test..

%age requirement of +2 to take admission in iiser is different for different states.

Cut-off for 2011/2012
Cut-off marks percentage# for various boards

Those candidates passing Class XII in 2012 and who are recepients of the eligibility note from the school board for DST Inspire fellowship may also apply. Cut-off in this table does not apply to such students.
