What is the NEET Lower age limit?
R/Sir,
my son DOB is 10-08-1998 can he appear in NEET-2014 pre medical test. |

Dear friend NEET stand for National Eligibility Entrance Test.
NEET exam is conducted by CBSE . Educational Qualification:- Candidate must have completed 10+2 with PCB(Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with 50% marks from a recognized Board. Only 45% marks required for SC/ST category candidate for apply NEET exam. Age should be between 17 years to 25 years. Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years And SC/ST category candidates 5 years. Exam Pattern:- Total Number of Questions: 180 Total Time: 3 hours Negative Marking: 1/4th the total marks Physics- 45 Questions Chemistry- 45 Questions Botany- 45 Questions Zoology- 45 Questions All the best.................. |

NEET stands for National Entrance cum Eligibility Test. The NEET is a national level medical entrance exam conducted by central board of secondary education(CBSE) every year for the students who had completed 12th in medical science stream. **Age Limit : -->To appear for the NEET exam,you must have a minimum of 17 years. -->There is no upper age limit to appear for the NEET exam. **Examination Pattern : The NEET examination question paper consists of totally 180 questions consisting of 3 subjects Physics,Chemistry,Biology. -->Physics-45 questions -->Chemistry - 45 questions -->Botany - 45 questions -->Zoology - 45 questions All The Best |

NEET UG Eligibility Criteria 1).Minimum age of the Applicant should 17 years. 2).There is 5 years relaxation on upper age limit for candidates belong to SC/ST. 3).Candidate should have taken Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and Mathematics and also English as his/her subject at 10 + 2 or equivalent level. 4).To be eligible for competitive entrance examination the candidate must have passed in this examination with 50% marks . |

lower age limit is 17 years since most students give their 12 board examination at this age.
but a important point for you to notice that NEET is now discarded. from the year 2014 onwards there will be separate conductions of AIPMT , STATE PMT's, AFMC. this was one of the recent decision by honable supreme court of india. for more you can still log on www.cbse.nic.in. |

NEET which stands for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is an entrance level test being conducted at the national level for the admissions in the UG Medical courses of MBBS and also BDS. NEET Eligibility-: AGE LIMIT-:The candidate should have completed 17 years of age while admission or by 31st December of that year. In other words,the minimum age is 17 years. As your son will be just 16 years, 4 months, and 21 days even on 31st December 2014,he will NOT BE ELIGIBLE for the NEET 2014 Educational Qualification-: The candidate must be passed in the 12th standard with the subjects of Physics,Chemistry,Biology,English with aggregrate of minimum of 50% marks in Physics,Chemistry and Biology for General candidates and 40% Physics,Chemistry and Biology for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Pattern-: The paper normally would consists of, Physics-45 questions Chemsitry-45 questions Botany-45 questions zoology-45 questions. The total time->3 hours. There is negative marking of 1/4th.
