Hello Dear,
The Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Health Ministry have finally reached a consensus to hold a All India Common Entrance Test for MBBS Course in all government run medical colleges, Private medical Colleges and Deemed Universities from 2012-2013 academic session. The meeting on Monday was attended by MCI Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years are only eligible to write the NEET |

Eligibility Criteria for NEET – Proposed
a. XII Academic Eligibility (Minimum percentage): i. 50% for General category student & 40% for SC/ST/OBC category student in Physics, Chemistry andBiology taken together (i.e. aggregate). ii. Students must pass Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects individually. b. Entrance Qualifying Criteria: Qualifying criterion has been changed from 50% of absolute marks in NEET to 50 percentile in NEET to ensure that no seat remains unfilled. c. Age Eligibility (Minimum percentage): i. Minimum 17 years at the time of admission ii. Upper age limit relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC d. Number of Attempts: A maximum of three attempts |

The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) is proposed to allow 10+2 students to appear in a single entrance examination to get admission to almost all medical colleges in the country, including private medical colleges, from 2012 academic year except the Armed Forces Medical College(AFMC),pune and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) , New Delhi and the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh. Eligibility Criteria For NEET Examination : The student musthave pass 12th class examination securing minimum of 50% for General category & 40% for Reserved category . The Student should Complete 17th year on or before 1st jan of 2012 and must be with in 25 years on/before 31st December of the year of the entrance examination The Student belong to SC/ST/OBC get 5 year relaxation on age. NEET stands for NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST. This exam is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education for the students who want to Join Under Graduation Course. For this exam you must have 12th. And you must secuire more then 50 % in your 12th. AGE LIMIT ;; Your age should be between 17-21 years. Max age is 25 years for General category. 5 years upper age relaxation is provided for reserved category candidates 5 for Sc/St/OBC. All the best |

The student musthave pass 12th class examination securing minimum of 50% for General category & 40% for Reserved category.
