Sir, what is the age limit to give the NEET entrance exam?

The lower age limit to become eligible for NEET for admission in MBBS/BDS is 17 years
on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

The upper age limit for All India Seats (15% of total seats) is 25 years.
The upper age limit for State quota seats may vary from state to state.

This year the NEET has already been conducted so you can apply for future NEETs
depending upon the eligibility criteria.

You can expect the notification for the exam anytime after the month of October.

NEET-National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test.

It is a national level entrance examination conducted for the courses in MBBS,BDS in India.

Eligibility-:

The candidates must be 12th passed with Physics,Chemistry & Biology and English.
The general candidates must have minimum 50% marks in PCB in aggregrate.
SC/ST/OBC candidates need 40% minimum marks in aggregrate in the subjects of PCB.


AGE LIMIT-:

General Candidates-> The candidates must not be below 17 years and not above 25 years while taking the admission into the Courses.

OBC/SC/ST Candidates-> Upper age relaxation of 5 years is applicable.


The NEET 2013 has already been conducted on the 05/05/2013.

You should pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% marks to appear for this examination.

If you fulfill above criteria then you can definitely apply for NEET.

The General category Candidate must have 50 % marks in the class 12th with physics, chemistry and biology subject taken together.For Sc/ST candidate required 40% marks and for PH candidate require 45% marks .

The students of all categories are required to pass Physics, Chemistry and Biology, English subjects individually.But there is no marks criteria in individual subject .

To be eligible for admission to MBBS course, a candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio- technology at the qualifying examination as mentioned above.


In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled-Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40% instead of 50%.



In respect of candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs in terms of Clause 4(3) above, the minimum marks in qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination shall be 45% instead of 50%

After completing 12th Biology, physics and chemistry subjects you can appear for NEET exam

There are 2 NEET exams
1. For under graduate courses like MBBS, BDS, B.Pharm etc
2. For post graduate courses like MDS, M.Pharm etc

After 12th candidates can write hte UG-NEET exam and after completing ug they can write PG - NEET exam

The age limit for UG-NEET exam is 17 - 25 years of age

There is no maximum age limit for PG - NEET exam
