hi sir/madam i am aayesh.. i have completed my B.E. in marine engineering & i am looking for a job on land so,where i can apply for it.and what post graduation courses are available after marine engg. in india?

You can apply for various on land duties at ports and shipping companies,like Garden reach ship building company recruits marine engineers.

You can persue m.tech in Naval architech,marine engineering,ocean technology
which will offers you good job oppurtunities.

after BE in marine engineering you can go for merchant navy for a lot of money in short time of period.....you can either go for shore job or sea job........
there are multiple job Vacancies to all who are interested in shipping Industry , Container Line, Chemical or Liquid e Cargo, Gas vessels,Tankers, Dry cargo vessel owners and Charterers.
some of the shore job are :-
Driller,Crane Operators,Electrician,Mechanic,Welder,Roustabout,. ....all poste are for chief engineer posts........

yes there is pg course in marine life.you can visit karnataka university.i think there is course for the marine life.

Yes my friend there is pg course in marine life.......

You can go for M.tech in marine engineering various institutes offer that course and the better place is non other then IIT's admission is based on GATE scores you will easily get details from any of IIT's website.After that comes MERI,kolkata,mumbai.

well Jayesh look you can straight way go for jobs after completion of your marine engineering course , but as you seem to be intrested in higher studies and you want a PG course which suits you then i will suggest you to go for naval architect course or marine engineering course which are available as UG courses and if you have some intrest in exploring marine life then you can go for UG course in marine life as well as now a days most people are showing intrest in this field as it has vast aspects still unexplored and in comming time the next place to work on will be water both (on it and under it).. so choose which ever suits you the best..

You can apply for the Various jobs in the Indian Navy for the Technical entry as Sub-Lieutenant and also the Sub-marine cadre which requires this candidates quite often and there are many vacancies in the shipping corporation of india and also in the private sectors also which pay you more. For the post graduation you can try Madras IIT which is a well-known center for the marine and oceanic studies that has an autonomic institute in the chennai called NIOT (National institute of Ocean Technology) that is offering the PG courses in Ocean technology and Marine engineering.

if anybody s planning to join BE.marine engineering i strongly suggest u to change ur mind before running behind huge offers as there s literally very very less recruitment in the companies. so if u don want to be a unemployed quit thinking about this and join some better course.

hello, the best option will be m.tech in naval arch and ship design if u r pursuing you bachelors in marine engineering. there is 2-4 colleges in india which are providing this course but admission via GATE which is quite difficult for a marine engineers to go through it. so, better option to do the same from any other country such as UK and USA. one should go to the UK as most of the ship building companies are based there. for more help, mail me.
