To become IAS, you must clear group1 exam conducted by UPSC.
You must have completed the graduation(a graduation course with atleast three years) are eligiblible.But B.Tech or BE (IT) are not eligible. You must wait for the notification from UPSC.you can keep visiting this website for further information and notofication http://www.upsc.gov.in/ |

Hi,
For becoming IAS you have to give Civil Service Exam. You can get the from from Post Offices when the notification for the same comes. To clear this exam you have to clear prelims, then mains and at last interview followed by medical. You have to choose subjects for prelims and mains. You must gain interest in the subjects selected by you and you should be aware about current affairs. |

definately, you can do IAS after your graduation. as minimum qualification graduation is require to attain in the IAS exam. and minimum 60% marks in graduation is require to attain in the IAS exam. age limit for IAS exam is 21-29 years. all the best.............. |

dear friends,
if you done the graduation then you can apply for the ias examination The application form for the ias will be published ,then you apply for that and write the exams. there is two stage of the exams PT and mains. after passing the PT you will be called for the mains exams. and after qualifying the mains exams you will be called for the interview. |

The UPSE carries out the IAS examination. The application forms are available from different post offices after the notification is published in the employment news and also in the official websites. The candidates must choose the apt subject as prelims and mains. If only you pass the preliminary exam, call letter for the mains will be offered. your desire to become an IAS officer is really appreciable and the procedure to apply for IAS or its correct to say CIVILS services Examination are your elgibility criterion is the important measure i,e, you have to have an degree from any recognised Indian university and you should have an age of 21 to 30 then every november month you'll get a notification and you should buy the application from any nodal center and send it to UPSC delhi and that's all you'll get hall ticket you can attempt for the exams all the best ~aditya~ |

well the eligibility criteria for appearing IAS exam is that you need to have a degree certificate from a renown colleges which is conducted by upsc every year.The age limit is between 21-30.You can buy forms from the nearest post office.the notification are send in the month of November. therefore all the very best of luck. |

To become IAS you have to give the UPSC civil services exams which are conducted every year.You can apply for the exam if you are eligible as per the eligiblity criteria mentioned below. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IAS: Educational Qualifications for IAS : Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Number of Attempts Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt. FEES:

Eligibility criteria for Civils exam:
Minimum graduation degree with any discipline from a recognized university. Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category,21 to 33 years for OBC category and only minimum age is required for SC/ST category candidate i.e is 21 years. If you fulfill with above mention criteria,then you can appear for Civils exam. Minimum education criteria = Graduate He/She should be 21years to 30 yrs of age at the time of appearing CSAT 2011 exams will be conducted on 12th June. and last date of applying for the same is 21st March... please refer www.upsc.gov.in for further detail and to apply.. but these dates are over but site will be the same to apply and getting all details..... |

for being eligible for iAS , you have to complete graduation or degree level course.
and you have to pick any subjects out of list of 32 subjects. the list of subjects is available on UPSC official website. www.upsc.gov.in the syllabi of all the subjects is very wide, so have to take a review of syllabi, before making a choice. the forms are available at the head post office of every state, you can buy it from there. best wishes. |

To become an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer you have need to appear civil services examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). For IAS, one need to go through a civil services examination conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).
The selection procedure will be by -CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) -Main examination -Interview The minimum qualification with which one can appear for IAS exam is graduation degree from a recognized institute. One should be in the age group of 21-30 years. Relaxation is there in upper age limit for the candidates of OBC and SC/ST. Make sure that you comply with the eligibility criteria prior to apply. For the academic year 2011, IAS exam is going to be conducted on 12-06-2011. The last date for the receipt of application forms is 21-03-2011. It was already over. *after completing the degree,u need to attend the upsc exam... *for that u should be strong in general knowledge as well as technical basis if u do professional degree... *many coaching classes are there to conduct summer classes to coach... *u just try to give your own preparation *self preparation is very best tool to crack the competitive exams... |
