CID i.e (Criminal Investigation Department). The applicant may Join in CID through through CGPE i.e (Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam) which is Conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Board) every Year. This Exam is held once a year during the Month of February.

Eligibility Criteria:-

~Candidates who are Indian are eligible
~The candidate should be a graduate in (Criminology) or a final year student of any graduate course.
~Above 20 years and below 27 years and relaxation will be applicable for SC/ST candidates for 5 years and OBC category candidates for 3 years.
~Candidates should be Physically as well as medically fit.

CID Examination Syllabus:-

• Principles of Criminology
• Psychology of Crime
• Criminal Law
• Police Administration
• Forensic Science and Medicine
• Juvenile Delinquency
• Correctional Management and Rehabilitation of Criminals etc.
