CID is Criminal Investigation Department. CID is crime detection agency works under government of India.

-To join CID, you have to appear in Civil Service Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) of India.

Well there are mainly two post in CID:-

*Constable

*Sub Inspector
(considered as Officer)



Qualification required to join CID:

~For Constable, You should have passed 12th in any stream from recognized school.

~For Sub-Inspector, You should have passed Graduation course from recognized Institute.



Age limit for CID:-

~Your Age should be between 20 years to 27 (relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC).



Physical standard for CID:

~Minimum Height- 165 cms
&
~Minimum chest 76 cms



Pattern of CID Exam:-

Exam is divide in to 2 papers as mentioned below:

Paper I( Duration -2 hr)
General test : In this the syllabus will be general intelligence and reasoning-50 marks and general awareness-75 and numerical ability-75

Paper II(Duration -2 hr.)
English language:The syllabus will be language comprehension, communication/writing- 200 marks and Ability test(physical)

you must be in citizen in India.

you should have a degree from recognized university.

your age should be in between 20 to 27 years old.
Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited.
For OBC candidate it is 7 years and
for general candidate it will be 5 years.

The selection process is contain in two stage

In first stage written test:-

1)General question ---------- 200marks
2)English -------------------200 marks

In second stage you can faced an interview which is contain 100 marks.

a. Part I - Written Examination carrying: 400 marks
i. General Test
ii. General Intelligence and Reasoning

The Criminal Investigation Department(CID) is a crime detection agency under the Government of India.

#Candidates who wish to join the Crime Investigation Department must appear in the Indian Civil Services examination that is held by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).

#Direct recruitment to CID is done through examinations conducted by the Staff Selection Commission(SSC).

CID-CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT is crime detecting agency under Central Government.

To become a CID Officer one has to appear for the examination conducted by UPSC held once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognised University within the age of 20 to 27 years is eligible to apply for UPSC exam for CID officer. It will be better if I can give upsc exam in my 1st year of graduation ..I am waiting eagerly
