Re: What is the qualification criteria for IAS? Last date and exam fees?
The qualification criteria for appearing for IAS, actually Civil Services Examination, is very simple.
You have to be a graduate in any discipline. The marks or class or honours just do not matter. You have to be just a graduate. You should be between 21 and 30 years of service. Relaxation in upper age limit is available for certain categories of people like SC, ST, etc. You can see the detailed notification in the UPSC website http://www.upsc.gov.in. For the current year, the process is already on and the registrations close on 5th March. The Preliminary exam will be on 20th May. Application is to be done online. The exam fee is Rs. 50/-, which is also waived in case of female, SC, ST and Physically Handicapped candidates. So, if you are eligible, hurry up and apply quickly. |
