what is the qualification marks for an SC student in 2013 GATE exam

hai friend,
Gate qualify cut of marks are deside by that year gate paper level.
in gate exam -ve marks also there.so every year least marks (qualifying marks for sc/st 18 for bc 24 for obc 27 ).
are obtained.

The qualification marks in Gate exam for SC students normally 18-20.For obtaining seat in good colleges like iit's and NITs you need to scores 40-50.The marks for getting seat in good colleges depends on number of students qualified in the gate and number of seat available.
For getting good score in the gate exam you need to have good knowledge of basics of your engineering courses and Aptitude.

For SC/ST candidate they have passed their degree with minimum 55% marks.
In exam also if they will get minimum rank they may eligible to apply for IITs

GATE or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is the Exam conducted by IIT each year

Next GATE exams would be held in January 2014

Eligibilty to apply for the GATE exams is:
>> BE/BTECH/BARCH pass or Final year student

>> M.SC/MCA/MA with subjects/branch Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent

>> Integrated Master’s degree programs or Dual Degree programs in Engineering / Technology (Five year programme).This programme should have been done just after passing class 12th

GATE is stands for the Graduate Aptitude Test For Engineering which is conducted for getting Admission in the Higher Study that is Master Degree in the field of Engineering that is Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (M.Tech)......

A candidate who have completed their Graduation Degree in the field of Engineering (OR) Master of Science M.Sc then they can apply for the GATE exam for their Higher Study...

There is no any Age limit for apply for this exam.

No any Attempt limit for it you can apply for it as many time as you wish..

Generally passing Criteria:

Minimum passing marks 2012-2013 years for some famous branch are:

• Mechanical Engineering - 18.09
  
• Electronics and Communication - 16.67
  
• Electrical Engineering - 16.67
  
• Instrumental Engineering - 16.67

The GATE Score of a candidate is computed from:

## S = GATE Score of a candidate,

## M = Marks obtained by a candidate in a paper,

## Mq = Qualifying marks for general category candidates in the paper,

## Mt = Average Marks of top 0.1% or 10 (which ever is higher) of candidates in the paper,

## St = GATE Score assigned to Mt (around 900), and

## Sq = GATE Score assigned to Mq (around 300).
