The exam is conducted by Punjab Public Service Commission for the recruitment for the following posts :

## PCS & Allied Services
## DSP’s
## Distt Probationary Officers
## BDPO’s
## Treasury Officers
## Forest Officers
## All Class I and Class II posts

Educational qualification :

1) You have must be a graduate or in final year of graduation.

2) You will be allowed for Preliminary examination only if you have passed Matriculation exam with Punjabi as subject or any other Punjabi Language.

Age requirement:

You must be in age group 21-35 yrs , five year relaxation for OBC/ SC/ST candidates. 10 yrs for disabled.

If you meet above criteria , then you are eligible for PCS examination.

PCS Eligibility Criteria:

To sit for the exam you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Your age should be between 21-35 years and there is age relaxation for the SC/ST candidates.

Exam Structure:

I. Preliminary Exam: objective type MCQ questions, general studies and questions from optional subjects for preliminary exam.

Optional Subjects for Preliminary exam:



II. Main Exam: essay, english, punjabi, general studies and 2 subjects from the list of optional subjects.

III. Lastly there is the interview session.

Eligibility Criteria for a PCS Exam
Educational Qualification
The candidate must have a graduation degree from a recognized university or institution.
The candidate must have choosen Punjabi as one of the cumpulsory or optional subject in his/her matriculation.
Age Criteria for PCS

The age of applicant should not lie below 21 and above 35 years.
For Punjab Police Service the candidate should not be below 21 and should not be above 28 years.
There is a provision of age relaxation upto 5 years for SC/ST Candidate for DSP post.
For widows and Divorcees upper age limit is relaxable up to 40 years
For physically challanged candidate the maximum age limit is 45 years.

Minimum eligibilty to apply for the UPSC Civil Services exams is:


Education: Graduation pass in any stream from a recognized university
No minimum percentage of marks is required in Graduation

Age- Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
OBC can apply till 33 years
SC/ST can apply till 35 years

Attempts/Chances: UPSC has also fixed number of attempts
General- 4 times
OBC-7 times
