The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India's central agency authorized to conduct the various recruitment exams such as :
*Civil Services Examination, * Engineering Services Examination * Combined Defence Services Examination, * National Defence Academy Examination, * Naval Academy Examination * Combined Medical Services Examination The Educational qualification needed for this exam is : Graduation .in any discipline from any recognised university A candidate must hold a degree of any recognised university. A candidate who has appeared the exam and the passing of which would render him /her educationally Qualified for UPSC but is waiting for the result is also eligible for the Preliminary exam . But if the candidate is qualified in the prelims then he/ she has to produce the result before the Main exam . A candidate possessing professional or technical qualification which is recognised by the government of India would also be eligible . A candidate who has passed the MBBS or any medical examination but has'nt completed the internship is also applicable for the prelims as well as main exam but he /she has to submit a certificate from the concerned authority that he /she has completed all the requirement of the course including internship , at hte time of interview . Also to qualify for the UPSC following are the criterias : 1 . Nationality A candidate should be the citizen of India or the subject of Nepal or the subject of Bhutan or a Tibetian refugee who is a permanent settler of India now . 2. Age limits 21 to 30 years for general category Age relaxation : 3years for O.B.C 5 years for SC/ST |

And, there is no specific qualification required for Section Officers/Stenographers Exam. For Geologists Exam, you need Master's degree in Geology/Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized university. For Indian Statistical/Economics Service Exams, you need Post Graduation in respective subjects. For Indian Forest Service Exam, you need to have Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognized university/institution. Rest all exams need Graduation. Only then you can appear for rest exams. |

following is the eligibility/qualification required for Civil service examination - You should have Indian Citizenship - you should have done your graduation from recognized college in any field - your age should be in between 21-30 years - Relaxation of 5 year for SC/ST and 3 year for OBC as per the reservation norms Number of Attempts General Category: 4 attempts OBC: 7 attempts SC/ST : no limit on attempts All the best |
