To become SI some of qualification and Physical requirements is necessary.The qualification needed and the other criterion to be satisfied for sub-inspector post are

Education Qualification-

**You should have a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

**There is no percentage cut-off as such.

**Citizenship-You should have Indian citizenship.

**Age Limit-You age should be between 20 to 25 years.

Age Relaxation available for reserved categories-

**3 years for OBC reserved category candidates.
**5 years for SC/ST reserved category candidates.
**5 years for candidates who have achieved distinction in sports.

Physical Standards-

Minimum height needed-170cms

Required chest size is 81cms before expansion and minimum 85cms after full expansion.

Shot Put(16 Lbs) : 4.5 meters in 3 chances

Female Candidates :

100 meters race in 18 sec
800 meters race in 4 min
Long Jump : 2.7 meters in 3 chances
High Jump : 0.9 meters in 3 chances
Shot Put(16 Lbs) : 4.5 meters in 3 chances

Physical Efficiency Test :

Male Candidates :

Walking : 1600 meters in 15 min
Cycling : 8Km in 30 min

Female Candidates :

Walking : 1 Km in 15 min
Cycling : 5Km in 30 min

4) There should be no criminal record against any candidates .

Dear friend the minimum qualification required for sub inspector is graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized college. You have to be a citizen of india and your age must be between 20 to 25 years.
the age is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

The physical requirements are:-
