Minimum qualification required to appear for IPS exams is Graduation from a recognized university.
IPS exams are conducted by UPSC every year as civil services exams. Age Limit : General - 21 to 30 yrs OBC - 21 to 33 yrs SC/ST - 21 to 35 yrs Defence Personnal - 21 to 33 yrs Ex serviceman - 21 to 35 yrs IPS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT Height For Men : 165 cm(AROUND) For Women :150 cm(AROUND) OBC /SC/ST : Male - 160 cm and Female :145 cm Chest male candidates is ---84 (+ 5cm). female candidates---- 79cm(+ 5cm). Eye Sight For Worse Eye :6/12 or 6/9 distant vision. For good Eye :6/6 or 6/9 distant vision IPS(Civil Service Exam) has three stages to be cleared by candidate. IPS - Indian Police Services One thing i want to tell you that to gain the eligibility for the civil services exam , you need a Bachelors degree and there is no importance given to 12th board. So , if you have done diploma in ECE after 10th instead of 12th board , even then you can apply for the civil services exam. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Civil Services Exam every year through which you can join the Indian Police Services (IPS). Isp stands for indian police service Ias-indian police service IAS-indian administrative service Ias exam conducted by the upsc one time in a year ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA the candidate should be complete graduation in any discipline from a recognised university final year appearing students also eligibile for this exam Percentage is not required for this exam. The candidate must be a citizen be a citizen of india. Age criteria the age limits are 21 to 30 years. 3YEARS relaxation for OBC candidates 5 years relaxation for sc/st candidates 5 years relaxation for PWD candidates selection procedure preliminary examination mains examination . IPS - Indian Police Service, to become an IPS officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.
Qualification for IPS, Civil Service Exam:- -The candidate must be an Indian National. -Should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. -Should have possessed good Physical Fitness. Apart from this the candidate should have possess minimum prescribed Physical requirement such as:- HEIGHT - General/OBC Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm. CHEST - Male-84cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases. To become an IPS officer, the candidate has to get through two stages of written exams followed by Personal Interview. The aspiring candidate applying for IPS, Civil Service Exam, is called for an Preliminary exam which is also called as CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test). The candidate selected out of CSAT has been called for to appear for the Civil Service Main exam. The final selection is conducted through personal interview out of candidate selected from Main exam.
