what is the qualification for vao....please tell me what is the qualification

VAO exam stands for Village Administrative Officer Exam which is conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commision every year although that depends on the vaccancies to select the administrative officers for the village in Tamil Nadu state.

Eligibility:

Age Criteria

Only candidates between 21 to 30 years are allowed to appear in the exam.

The candidates from reserved categories have upper age limit relaxation. They need to be between 21 to 40 years to apply for VAO exam.


Education Requirement

Candidate must of S.S.L.C pass certificate to apply for the exam.

You must have S.S.L.C. or equivalent educational qualification at the time of applying for the VAO exam. It does not matter if you have higher education.

Language

You are not required to have knowledge of Tamil language to appear in this exam. However if passed you would require to appear in Tamil language exam which is also conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.

how to apply for tamilnadu tnpsc 2012 VAO exam.
You may apply for this exam in two ways , through online and offline
you can apply for this exam through tnpsc official website tnpsc.gov.in. or you can get application form from your nearest main post office or district head post office or from TNPSC office counter.


The eligibility criteria for this exam.......

*Minimum age : applicants must be 21 years of age

*Maximum age: 40 years

This age limit applicable to following categories SC/SC(Arunthathiyars), STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCM, Destitute Widows of all castes.

*Educational qualification: candidates who completed sslc (10th) or its equivalent can apply for this exam

*The pay sclae is 5200 - 20200 .
& grade pay is 2400 .

This exam is conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.This is for the administrative positions .

Eligibility for VAO

• The candidate appearing for the examination must be above the age of 21 and below the age of 40 in the case that they belong to the reserved classes and 30 in case they are from the general category.

• candidate should have cleared the Senior Secondary examination from a recognized board of study.

• Must be proficient in Tamil and must have passed Secondary School examination with Tamil as one subject.

• In case the student does not have this certificate they will need to sit for a separate test in which their knowledge of the language will be tested. This examination needs to be cleared within two years of the date of the appointment.

*There is a 5% reservation for ex-servicemen

*there is 30% reservation for women

VAO -VILLAGE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, the exam for which is conducted by Tamilnadu Public Service Commission(TNPSC) once every year.

Candidate having passed S.S.L.C. Public Examination or it's equivalent with eligibility for admission in to Higher Secondary Courses of studies or in college courses of studies, is eligible to apply for VAO exam.

Apart from this the candidate should be within the age of 22 to 30 years on the last day of receipt of application for VAO. For reserved category like SC/ST candidate the age is relaxed up to 40 years.

The candidate must have passed the above mentioned qualifying exam in Tamil language.

The written exam comprises of objective type questions on General Knowledge, General English and Tamil Language.

VAO stands for Village Administrative Officer.

=>You just need the general educational qualification ie, only a SSLC certificate would do or a minimum 10 pass out can apply for this exam.

=>Your age needs to be minimum 21 years. It should not be more than 40 years and this rule is mandatory even for the SC/ST and OBC candidates.

=>Selection Procedure:
Selection basically depends upon the marks you get in the written exam and you should get minimum 90 marks to qualify.

Exam Pattern: The written exa has been divided into two parts: general knowledge and general english or tamil.

First Paper-100 questions
Second Paper-100questions
Total Marks: 300 marks
Marks needed to qualify: 90 marks
Duration of the paper: 3 hours.

Eligibility Criteria for VAO Exam 2012

Age limit: As on 1st July 2012 age limit for General and Unreserved category candidates is 21 (twenty one) years to 30 (thirty) years and candidates who are from SC, BC, MBCs, DCs, BCMs and DWs cast minimum age limit is same but maximum age limit could be 40 (forty) years.

Educational qualification:

• As on 9th July, 2012 applicant must have secondary school leaving certificate (SSLC) or its equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of Tamil Language required.

you need to age limit should be between the 21 to 30 years.

There is upper age relaxation is there so the candidate maximum age is required that between 21 to 30 years eligible for this exam.

There is no tamil language to eligible do this exam. You need to pass the S.S.L.C in tamilnadu state only in tamil language.
