Qualification for UGC NET:

NET stands for National Eligibility test and the examination is conducted by UGC, two times in a year i.e in June and December every year. This year June NET Examination was already completed as per the new changes pattern and the result was also declared.

Those who have appeared for June NET may check their result from the official website.

This examination is conducted to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals. The notification of December NET examination is going to be published soon in this month and after notification online registrations were started.

To apply for NET Examination, you have to complete your Post graduate degree course from a recognised University. You have to scored minimum 55% marks in your post graduation to apply for NET Examination. Final year appearing candidates are also apply for NET.

You have to choose 1 subject in NET on the basis of your post graduation and the syllabus is available in the official website. Please prepared well for this examination as per the latest pattern. There are total 3 papers and all are objective with no negative marking and if you need more details then please check official website.

Educational Qualifications for the UGC-NET exams is:
Post Graduation pass
Minimum 55% marks in Post Graduation for the General and OBC candidates
Minimum 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates

Age Limit:
Lectureship-No age limit
JRF-maximum age to apply is 28 years
OBC/WOMEN/SC/ST candidates can apply till 33 years
