What is the requirement to become an IPS? I am a student of MCA 6th semester
i m a student of mca 6th sem. and i wanna to become ips, ias so tell me what is the recquirnment & which is topper coching center in near panipat

Hai,
IPS stands for Indian Police Service. IPS exam conducted by the UPSC once in a year. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should have to complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university. Final year graduation students are also eligible. You must be a citizen of India. No need of percentage restrictions to apply this exam. Age criteria:- The age limits are 21 years to 30 years, 3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates, 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates, 10 years age relaxation for PWD candidates. Selection process:- Preliminary examination, Mains examination, Personal interview. Number of attempts:- 4 times for General candidates, 7 times for OBC candidates, No limit for SC/ST candidates. ips Exam Eligibility;- 1-You must be passed a graduate degree from a Indian recognized university 2-There is no percentage requirement 3-Appearing in final year candidates are also eligible. Age limits;- General age limits is 21-30 years. Age relaxation is given reserved category students. Hi Guest,
In order to become an IPS Officer you need to give the CIVILS exam. The candidates passing the CIVILS exam are eligible for the post. The candidates completing graduation are eligible for applying to CIVILS. So if you are eligible you can apply for the posts. Thank you, All the best. |

IPS - Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
Requirement Criteria for IPS, Civil Service Exam:- Nationality - The candidate must be an Indian Educational Qualification - The candidate should have either apperaed for the final Graduation Degree exam or passed in any stream of education from a recognised University. Age Criteria - The candidate should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. Physical Requirement - The candidate should have possessed good Physical Fitness. HEIGHT should be 165cm for General/OBC Male and 150cm for Female candidate while it should be 160cm for SC/ST Male and 145cm for Female candidate. CHEST should be 84cm for Male and 79cm for Female candidate with an expansion of 5cm in both the cases. As you are pursing MCA 6th semester, you are eligible to apply for IPS Civil Service Exam with above mentioned eligibility criteria. For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |
