For recruitment of Officer's in Indian Navy, Union Public Service Commission conducts two entrance examination which are NDA/NA examination and CDS examination. Both the examinations are conducted twice every year in two stages which are known as Written examination and Service Selection Board interview respectively.

--> NDA stands for National Defense Academy and for appearing in this examination for Indian Navy wing you are required to have the qualifications given below :-

* You must be an Indian unmarried male candidate with age lying within 16.5 years to 19 years.

* You must have completed your senior secondary school degree or pursuing the final year of same with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your main subjects from a recognized board of education. Any equivalent degree holder are also eligible.

--> CDS stands for Combined Defense Services and for appearing in this examination for Naval Academy you must have the qualifications given below:-

* You must have the nationality of India with your age lying in between 19 years to 22 years.

* You must have a bachelor's degree with any of Physics/Chemistry/Engineering course from a recognized university.

For both the examination Physical and mental fitness are required at must. As you do not have mentioned the complete information of your defect so it is hard to exactly predict whether you are eligible or not. So for the exact details about the physical fitness required you must check its requirement norms.

For more details about the syllabus and pattern of examination as well as notifications regarding the upcoming examination you can log on to the official link of UPSC i.e; www.upsc.gov.in.
