To become Navy officer you will have to write NDA exam.
NDA exam counduct by UPSC twice in year for three wings--Airforce,Army,Navy & Navel Academy. Aspirant must have passed 12th class with around 55% aggregate from a recognized university or college. Only unmarried male candidate whose age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years are eligible. IMPORTANT BOOKS FOR NDA EXAM PREPARATION ------------------------------------------------- Exam Pattern for NDA Written test There will be written Examination for total of 900 marks in two Subjects 1. Mathematics - Maximum marks is 300 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hrs. 2. General Ability Test - Maximum marks is 600 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hrs. The papers in both the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. |

There is no particular course to purse to join as a Navy officer. You become a Navy Officer by appearing and cracking NDA(National Defence Academy) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.
To be eligible to join Indian Navy of NDA, one must be an unmarried Indian male candidate only having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subject of studies within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health. After completing 12th you become a navy officer you can apply for the NDA exam. NDA stands for National Defence Academy. NDA exam conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. NDA-I and NDA-II Selection Process: Written Test SSB Interview Medical Test NDA consist three wings Indian Army Navy Indian Air force Eligibility: To become a navy officer you can first citizen of india. You need to complete the bachelor degree with physics chemistry and mathematics subjects compulsory. No percentage required this exam. Age limit is between 16.5 to 19 years. I am sorry to say that girl can not apply after passing 12th with any stream. If you want to join Indian Navy then you have to pass graduation with physics and maths. Or you have to pass engineering with any branch. Girl are not eligible for N.D.A after passing 12th. After passing graduation you have to qualify the C.D.S exam. C.D.S exam is is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year. Age limit for C.D.S exam:- > For Indian Air Force:- 19-23 year > For Indian Navy:- 19-22 year > For Indian Army:- 19-24 year. After completion of 12th standard the candidates should be eligible for NDA(National Defence Academy) exam, this exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year. IMPORTANT: Girls are not eligible for NDA exam, Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA exam. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should be complete 12th standard from any recognised state board. Candidate should be a citizen of india. Candidate must be physically fit. The age limits are 16.5years to 19years, no upper age relaxation. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for NDA exam. For navy and airforce the candidate should be complete 12th standard with PCM subjects. Selection procedure:- Written test, SSB interview, Medical test.
