Well, the salary of a Mechanical Engineer depends on his knowlege , talent , and the college from which s/he is graduated.

The average package ranges from 6-7 lakhs per annum in good Universities like IPU.

Whereas, a DTU (Delhi Technological University) student gets an average package of 8-10 lakh per annum which was gone to 60 lakhs per annum (Highest Package).

So It all depends on college you are graduated from.
However, in Average colleges too you will get above 4 lakh per annum package.

Nice question......!! Different company pay the different package. If you are graduated from any good engineering college then you can get in range 3 to 5 lakhs per annum.

Mechanical branch is consider as the good branch and more job opportunity in this field. The maximum IT sector company give a package of range Rs. 3 to 3.5 lakhs per annum for the fresher candidates. The core company will give you a batter pay package then IT sector company so try to go in core company for a batter future.

In the final year of the B.Tech course the campus placement will be start so prepare well for the upcoming campus recruitment drive. If you are a talented candidate of your branch then don't worry you will definitely got a good job offer through the campus drive so be patient and work hard. If you have completed your graduation from a good university and college,

then average package you may get will be in between 5-6lakh per annum.


But your stream is very good and demand of mechanical engineers is very high in India.

The salary of a mechanical engineer in India depends upon the working skills, working experience, good practical knowledge and the sector you are working in.

The salary range can varies as follows :-

1) Freshers : 0 year experince : salary about 2.8 Lakh annually .

2) 5 year experience : salary about 6.5 to 7 Lakh annually

3) 8 year experience : salary about 11.5 to 14 Lakh annually.
