For IAS you should be a graduate and as you will hold B.Tech degree therefore you will ba graduate. So all you need to do for IAS is as follows:
1.You must start preparing your aptitude from RS Aggarwal. 2.Also take note of current affairs and The Hindu is good newspaper for it. 3.Also study some magazines like India Today. 4.Read all history, geography, science CBSE books from 7th till 10th class. Most important is hard work. good luck |

Re: How to do IAS after passing B.Tech 3rd year?
Dear Soumya,
The acronym for IAS is Indian Administrative Services. The Indian Administrative Service is the administrative civil service of the Government of India. Indian Administrative Service officers hold key positions in the Union Government, State governments and Public Sector Undertakings. The Administrative Service is one of the three All India Services. The examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. It has three stages (preliminary, mains and interview) and is considered to be extremely challenging. The IAS officers are recruited by the Union government on the recommendation of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and posted under various State governments. The educational qualifications required for the IAS examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any discipline from any recognized college or university. * Age limit:- 21-30 yrs. * Final year contenders are also eligible. * Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contenders. * Nationality:- Indian. * No. of attempts:- 4 for General, 7 for OBc and no limits for SC/ST contenders. |
