How to prepare for IAS Exam being a candidate of B.Tech in 3rd semester?
What steps i should take for preparing ias as i don't know about how to take 1st step for prep. As i am 3rd sem btech civil student?

After complete your 3rd year in the summer vacation you go to one institute for preparation for IAS first you know the criteria:- *Candidate should pass graduation *Must be an INDIAN *Age -21 to 30 years 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidate 3 years for OBC candidate *maximum attempts:- 4 times for general candidate 7 times for OBC candidate no limits for SC/ST candidate IAS exam is done in 2 parts 1)preliminary exam 2)final exam this is the some idea i give you for IAS exam |

I m in 3rd semester of b.tech (ece).I want to be an responsible ias officer.I havnt much knowlegde about ias examination.I want to know which subjects are included in this examination.

daily go through d news paper n read 1to 5 classes g.k text books.they v'l b very useful..n watch newz not nly state news bt india news...

IAS is an exam conducted through CSE by UPSC.
Required Qualification to appear for Civil Services Exam -You should have passed Graduation degree in any specialization from recognized Institute. -You are for civil service exam while in graduation final year. -UPSC Civil service exam has no restriction on graduation percentage. -Your Age should be within the limit of 21 to 23 years. -You must be a citizen of India. IAS(Indian administrative service) is one of the prestigious job to do and it has such a great value that every one want to prepare for IAS, among all of them some of them can reach the goal who will have the strong determinations , who can do hard work, planning etc..
as we know that there is change in the syllabus introduced by the CSAT 2011, the IAS exam will be consists of
education eligibility, you can have graduate in any discipline from a university recognized by the university grants commission (UGC). if you are in the final year of your graduation than you can fill the main exam form. and you must be the citizen of india. age limit you must be minimum 21 years of age maximum is 30 years , if you are belong to OBC category than you can have 21 to 33 years of age. for sc/st 21 to 35 years . you can attempt 4 times if you are belong to general category and 7 attempts for OBC and sc/st there is no limit for the exam, the notifications for the civil services prelims will be appear in employment news and on UPSC's website on 04-02-2012. the exam is going to be held on 20-05-2012. prelims,
paper-1 current events of national and international importance, history of india and national movement, Indian and world geography-physical ,social,economic geography of india an the world, Indian polity and governance constitution , political system , panchayati raj ,public policy, rights issues ,etc.. economic and social development sustainable development ,poverty, inclusion, demographics,social sector initiatives etc.. general issues on environmental ecology, bio -diversity and climate change that do not require subject specialization, general science , paper-2 comprehension, interpersonal skills including communication skills, logical reasoning and analyticall ability, decisions making and problem solving, general mental ability, basic numeracy ,data interpretation, English language comprehension skills, question relating to English language comprehension skills of class 10 level which will be tested through the passages from English language only without providing Hindi translation there of in the question paper. the main exam syllabus consists of general studies 2 optional papers, some of the optional subjects you have to face in the mains are
the interview conducted on the basis of main exam . so you have to prepare well for the exam. yo have to be planned yourself for getting success in the IAS EXAM all the best |
