my age is 19 1/2, but i want to join air force. so what i do?

To join in indian airforce atleast you have to completes the minimum 12th standard.
The jobs fields available in airforce for 12th qualified are
1.Data entry jobs.
2.Helper jobs.
3.reception jobs.
Graduated students have bright future in airforce field the type of jobs available are
1.Technical jobs.
2.Telecom jobs.
3.aeroplane driver jobs.etc.
The maximum age limit is 23 years.To eligible for this job you should have minimum 60% aggregate.

can i get job in air force after diploma in mechanical engineering?

As you are 19.5 years old now, then you have already passed the upper age limit of NDA exam..

So, you are not eligible for NDA exam..

Now the only option left to you is AFCAT exam..

Through AFCAT exam you can apply for different section in air force..

AFCAT exam is conducted by Indian Air force itself..

To apply for AFCAT exam you have complete your graduation first..

So, go for the graduation course first.. After which you can apply for AFCAT exam.

Eligibility for AFCAT exam:-

For Ground duty branch:--

Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade.
Age should be in between 20-27 years.

For Flying branch:-

Candidate has to complete the graduation any trade , but must have maths and physics in 12th.
Age should be in between 19-23 years.

For Technical branch:-

Candidate has to complete the graduation in engineering field.
Age should be in between 18-28 years.

These are the various eligibility criteria for various section..

yes you are eligible to apply for the AFCAT after passing your BTech in biotechnology as you very well know that AFCAT eligibility required is is graduation in any stream so just after you are BTech you are eligible to apply for the AFCAT.
