It is good to see that you are interested to become a cardiologist, but to become a certified cardiologist takes a long time. Cardiologist is a physician who is specialized in the area diagnosing, treating and preventing medical conditions of the heart and blood vessels. It means to become a good cardiologist you must have good knowledge of the heart, arteries and veins. once you do become a cardiologist, you will earn good because a career path of good cardiologist is long.

To become a cardiologist, first you have to apply for the bachelor degree course. It means you have to apply for the MBBS Course after passing your intermediate examination. Those who have completed his Intermediate examination with biology, chemistry and physics are eligible to apply for the Medical entrance examination to get admission in the MBBS course. The duration of MBBS course is about 5 years 6 months, including 1 year compulsory training. To get admission in MBBS Course, you have to crack the entrance examination which contains questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology & Botany) and General Knowledge.

When you successfully completed your MBBS degree, then further you have to join MD/MS/DNB course which is about 2 to 3 years duration. When you successfully completed your MD degree, then you need to complete 3 years of residency training where you will concentrate on internal medicine.

When you complete your several years, of course and training, then you have to pass a licensing examination.

To become a cardiologist you need to complete 5 years 6 month MBBS degree along with MD degree and 3 years DM (Cardiology) degree from a recognized university. After completing your MBBS degree, you need to appear in the Post graduate medical entrance test. After completing an MD degree you need to join a 3 year DM programme or even the DNB in cardiology. As you complete the all these stages, you officially become a cardiologist.
