Physician - How to become a Physician?
Physicians are medical practitioners who diagnose various diseases within human body and provide treatments and medications to cure those diseases or disorders. Those who have completed the medical school can become Physicians. These professionals, with their technical knowledge and intellectual ability make attempts in restoring the health conditions of individuals who are struggling from any kind of ailments. Physicians are actually doctors practicing general medicine.
Qualifying Exam
To become a physician, aspirants have to complete the graduation course in medicine. As there are diverse streams in medicine, they can study the course according to their preference, like Allopathic, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani and so on. Graduates in medicine in any of these streams, after completion of their 4-year medical school are required to practice internship in any hospitals so as to start their medical practice. Those who wish to become doctors concerning with any particular part of human body like Neurologist treating nerve diseases, Cardiologist taking care of heart diseases or any other areas should in addition do the MD or DO in medicine with that specialization. Aspirants should study the medical programs in any certified institutes. Then only they may be licensed or registered under the laws of that particular country or otherwise.
Who is eligible to apply?
Scholars who have completed the XII course in Science discipline from a recognized Board are qualified to apply for the graduation program in medicine. Aspirants should have studied Botany and Zoology subjects in the qualifying course. The percentage requirement is 50% and above for most of the Universities. There is considerable reduction in marks for the OBC / SC / ST and PWD’s. In addition, applicants should be aged between 17 and 25 years. Aspirants are required to attend a medical entrance test so as to get admissions for the bachelors’ program in medicine.
How to prepare for exam and interview?
As the entrance test comprises of questions on XII science subjects, aspirants are required to have thorough knowledge in those portions. They can rely up on exam special books and previous question papers for reference. Aspirants can attend preliminary tests so as to get relieved from exam fears. They can self-evaluate their solved papers so as to identify their weaker portions.
