The syllabus for the Combined Defense Service Exam, specifically for Officers Training Academy comprise of :

English
General Knowledge


Each of these papers carries 100 marks and the General Knowledge paper will be based on questions related to History, Geography, Current Affairs etc.
Candidates applying for Officers Training Academy do not need to appear for the third paper of Combined Defense Service Exam, which is Elementary Maths, whereas, for others, it is compulsory along with English and General Knowledge.

what if iam good in english bt not that good in history and yet i am physically fit with all the desired height, weight and eyesight??? will i still be selected in the indian army???

OTA stands for ( Officer Training Academy ) and It's one of the CDS Examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

Eligibility Criteria for OTA Examination :-

Educational Qualification :-

You should Passed in Three years Bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized University .

There is no Minimum Percentage of marks required for this OTA Examination .

Final year candidate may also eligible to apply for this Examination .

Age Criteria :-

~~ For Officer Training Academy ( SSC Course for Men ) :- Your age should be 19 years to 25 years and You should should be Born in between ( 2/July/1988 to 1/July 1994 ) . Both the Married and Unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for this Academy .

~~ For Officers Training Academy ( SSC Course for Women ) :- Your age should be 19 years to 25 years and You should be Born in between ( 2/ July/1988 to 1/July/1994 ). You should Unmarried Femal candidate .
