Maximum No. of attempt in IIT JEE.

No, You can not appear in the IIT JEE exam more then two times.

According to eligibility criteria of IIT JEE any student can appear in the
IIT JEE maximum two times once in the appearing in 12th and other
just next year.

Example:- If you pass 12th class in the 2010 then you can appear
in the IIT JEE in the year 2010 and in 2011. You are not eligible in
the year 2012.

1st with your 12th and 2nd just after 12th....

u can appear in iitjee exam for only 2 times.
one is when you are in 12 class
second the year just after it.
there no bar on age as such.

No you can't appear more than 2 times.
If you are studying in 12 So you are eligible and passing 12 there is 1 chance to appear in IIT.

IIT JEE allows only 2 attempts back to back

starting just alongside your +2 examination

so the first time you can appear for JEE is the year when you appear for

+2. and then the following year

No, you cannot. You can only give it 2 times consecutively.

Yes you can. You can attempt it for 2 years but consecutively. So, 2012 would be your second year.

You can give iit only 2 times and that too consecutively. your age is eligible to give the exam.

can a student of class 9 or 10 may appear for iit jee ?

Yes, you may apply for IIT-JEE this year because you will appear for 12th this year and for appearing in IIT JEE you should be appearing for 12th or you should have completed 12th a year before appearing for JEE.

The maximum number of trials for IIT-JEE is 2 chances.

i am very sorry to say but you cannot give IIT JEE....this is because a person should be of atleast be of seventeen years of age to be eligible for it....and that person too can give it only twice,once along with the 12th and the next year after it i.e. consecutively...

* You should be the citizen of India.
* Candidates should complete 12th from recognized institute
* You should get 50% at 12th standard
* Candidates should be physically fit.

So, you can attend only two times not more than that. So, try within 2 attempts.

actually i attempted iit in 2010 with out coaching also attempted in 2011 but i went to exam center with helth pblm no its alright but i want to attempt in 2012 is it possible what can i do

Eligibility For IIT-JEE 2012

If you wish to appear in IIT JEE 2012 then you must satisfy the following conditions :-

1) You should be a 12th pass out or appearing with 60% or above as aggregate in Physics,Chemistry and Maths

2) You should have passed out your 12th in 2011 or going to pass your 12th in 2011..means you have only 2 attempts

3) You should be within the age limit of 25 years..

Hence,you cannot appear for IIT JEE more than 2 times..

If you are not prepared right now..then you can drop the year and prepare well and then sit for the exam next year..

IIT JEE is the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination which is an all India competitive exam aimed at selecting finest brains from all over India for the various B.Tech/B.E courses in the 13 IIT's across the country.


The Basic Eligibility Criteria for appearing in the IIT JEE are :


1. You should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or state board and must have secured at least 60% aggregate in the boards.


2. You are only allowed to take two (2) consecutive attempts for this exam. One just after conclusion of your board exams and the other one the next year.


==> So since right now you are 15 years of age, and in your 12th class. You would be allowed one attempt just after you give your boards and the next attempt you can take the following year.


==> Now in reply to your query if you would be given more number of attempts or not, I am really sorry to say that age is not a fact of matter in this. You can take only 2 attempts. No relaxation is provided in this criteria.

Chances to appear in IITJEE is only two times.You can give IITJEE exam's first attempt along with 12th and next attempt is after 1 year gap after 12th.

in 2013 i will clear my 12 exam can i give iit exam in 2014 n 2015 leaving one year gap in between of 2013?

Hi friend.

The most concerning criteria for most aspirants who are looking to pursue a degree from IITs is the number of attempts allowed in the IIT-JEE(Indian Institute of Technology).As of now, a candidate is allowed a maximum of two consecutive attempts counting from the year in which the candidate has first appeared for the Qualifying exam(board exam at 10+2 level).

In your case, as you'll be qualifying your class 12 in 2014, you are eligible to appear for IIT-JEE in 2014 and 2015 as well!

To be eligible to appear for IIT-JEE, these the other required criteria are:

1.To appear in IIT-JEE 2014, a candidate must have either passed the QE for the first time, on or after October 1, 2012 or appearing for the first time in 2014. Those who are going to appear in the QE later than September 30, 2014 are not eligible to appear in IIT-JEE 2012.

2.Candidates belonging to GE and OBC categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in QE. SC, ST and PD candidates must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in QE.
