Hi friend,
No, the validity of CAT exam is only one year, hence one is not eligible to get a seat by just clearing previous year CAT exam. CAT exam does not has a rule for attempt either . Means you can try as many times to get admission in IIM, However it is advisable to do a side-business or study to utilize this time gap. |

so,if you are fresher than don't worry about that you are eligible for selection but you have to check all IIMs criteria. i think IIM-B prefer experience people than fresher while in IIM if you fit in their criteria than they give a call. but,if you check last year IIM-A criteria than they also see your past academics.so,if your past sores are not good than you can cover up wit the experience. IIM-C purely give you a call on CAT %tile. but,if you want to get admission in top b-schools than they prefergive more weight on experience candidate but they not denied any fresher. so now choice is yours. but if you can get admission in good b-school as a fresher than take it. i hope it will help. all the best |

Hello,
No, IIM doesn't appeal for experience before applying to MBA. You should go through entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT etc. After qualifying the entrance exam you will have to face GD/PI. In the qualifying condition in GD/PI, candidate will have call from IIM. For more information-www.catiim.in ok, best of luck. |
