What type of job can a Mechanical Engineer get in Automobile sector? What type of knowledge is required to get the job?
Respected sir,
I'm pursuing B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (final year).I am mostly interested in Automobile Sector. 1) what type job can I get in Automobile Companies like TATA, Mahindra, etc? 2) what type of knowledge ( subject or practical) is need to get that job? |

A mechanical engineer in the automotive industry will work closely with engineers from other disciplines and will often become a multi-skilled engineer. They may specialise in a particular area such as body engineering, chassis engineering, powertrain engineering, manufacturing engineering or engineering quality.
Knowledge requirement would mostly depend upon the specialization you are working in precisely but basic knowledge involves, 1.Designing and analysis software like solid works, ansys, Autocad etc 2. NC and CNC machining 3. Basic academic knowledge |
