Re: What is the upper age limit for UPSC?
UPSC stands for the Union Public Service Commission. It is responsible for conducting so many entrance exams at the national level.
You have mentioned that you are in central government services for the last five years and now willing to appear for the UPSC exams. But as per your query, it is not clear that in which UPSC exam, you are interested. So, here is the age limit for different exams conducted by UPSC. 1. The age limit for the NDA entrance exam is 16.5 to 19 years for candidates of all category without any age relaxation in upper age limit. 2. For Special Class Railway Apprentice Exam, it is 17-21 years. 3. For Civil Services Exam: >>General candidates : 21-30 years with no age relaxation. OBC and SC/ST candidates have age relaxation of three years and five years respectively. So for OBC, it is 21-33 years and for SC/ST candidates, it is 21-35 years. This age criteria is applicable to Indian Engineering Service Exam, Indian Forest Services exam etc. 4. For Combined Defense Services, the different academies have different age limits. >>For IMA: 19-24 years. >>For Air Force Academy: 19-23 years. >>For Naval Academy: 19-23 years. >>For Officer's Training Academy: 19-25 years. 5. Central Police Force exam: It is between 20-25 years with age relaxation applicable to OBC, SC/ST candidates in upper age limit. For any more details about these exam mentioned above, you can visit www.upsc.gov.in. |
