please conferm upsc new sylllabus for mains is that rigt or not?

Mains examination is second stage of Civil Service examination. Candidates can appear in examination only after qualifying in Preliminary stage.

The Mains examination contains two optional paper, four general studies, one ethics, one language and an English paper.

So, you must need to prepare for examination as according to its syllabus. The English and language paper is just qualifying paper.

UPSC new pattern as per 2017 syllabus

>> Candidate need to very the originality of the document by commission , and if found wrong the candidature may get dismissed.
>> Centers of the exam is revised which can be seen in below link.
>> Candidate need to pass prelims followed by mains after which interview section will be held.
>> Age limit should be within range of 21 years to 32 years.
>> Minimum education qualification is now graduate from recognized university.
>> Number of attempt is limited to 6 for general cast.
