What is a valid criteria for CA-CPT?


i wan't to say that will be valid 30% Criteria in ca-cpt plz ask

In the CPT exams questions are asked from the below sections:
Fundamentals of accounting
Mercantile LAWS
General Economics
Quantitative Aptitude

All the questions are asked in objective mode only

Candidates have to score minimum 30% marks in each subject
Candidates scoring minimum 50% aggregate marks are declared as pass

There are negative markings of .25 for each incorrect answer.


CPT exams or Common Profiency tests are held in June and December each year

Next CPT exams would be held in December 2013
Forms for this exam would be filled in October 2013

Candidates who have appeared in class 12th exam or have passed class 12th exam can apply

CA-CPT is the foundation course of Charted Accountancy.The Total duration for this course is 3 months.After getting pass in this curse you will be able to further courses related to Charted Accountancy.To do this minimum educational qualification required is :

  • Fundamentals of Accounting.
  • Mercantile Laws.
Section II :
  • General Economics.
  • Quantitative Aptitude.
Conditions for Passing CA-CPT Exam :
  • You will have to get at least 50% marks in each sections.
  • You must have 40% marks in each subject for each section.
If you will able to meet the passing condition's then you will able to take admission in higher courses of Charted Accountancy.
