In order to qualify the common proficiency test, you must stick to the basics. Just follow the syllabus, do not ignore any chapters or topics, refer to the study material provided by the institute along with other reference books written by reputed authors and do practice as per the previous question papers of the common proficiency test.
The test is based on the following subjects:

• Fundamentals of Accounting
• Mercantile Law
• Economics
• Quantitative Aptitude

In the CPT exams questions are asked from the below sections:
Fundamentals of accounting
Mercantile LAWS
General economics
Quantitative Aptitude


All the questions are asked in objective mode only

Candidates are required to score minimum 30% marks in each of the above sections.

Candidates also have to score overall aggregate of 50% marks

There are negative markings of .25 for each incorrect answer.
