IB stands for the Intelligence Bureau. The entrance exam for this Bureau is conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

There are different entrance exams conducted at different academic qualification.

At 10+2 level, the entrance exam for post of security assistant is conducted. It consists of questions from general awareness, mathematics and English.

The age limit is 18-30 years with relaxation applicable to reserved category.

At bachelor's degree level, the entrance exam for the posts of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer is conducted.

For this exam, you must have bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Final year candidates can also apply for the exam.

The age limit is 18-27 year with three years age relaxation for OBC and five years for SC/ST candidates respectively.
