Whether M.Phil or PhD in Library Science through the distance mode is considered valid in govt jobs or in govt colleges ?
whether M Phil or Ph D in Library Scence through the distance mode of is valid in govt. jobs or in govt colleges ?
I am working as a Librarian in a CBSE Affilited English Medium School.I have done MLIS (i.e. Master in Library Science) .I want to do M Phil or Ph D in Library Scence through the distance mode .Whether it will be valid as per UGC AND Govt .or University Rules and Regulations ? Thanks for giving to me an opportunity to discuss with you regarding this. That's very good decision because already you have done a degree in full time at the same time you are a good position what am saying is you can join in M.Phil as well as P.Hd through correspondence. Someone creates while study in DDE distance learning programme the course is not valid compare full time course. its absolutely wrong. All the major institution has DDE program whereas it is not value why they had like this courses. Compare the ratio whoever has a good position means all the superior officer does any one course through correspondence for their promotion. DDE only considering for employment. Suppose we could not spend a time in full time nao its a either option. so never confuse. At this time am telling that you should join recognized university for the above.

I want to do M.Phil Or P.Hd. But my problem is that my percentage is less then 55% . It is 53% . I am working in university library. I have a experience of 2 Year of hendling the all work of library. If there is any solution , please tell me.

Due to my personal problems I could not attend any of the academic course in regular basis after my graduation. I did my M.A.(46%) in history from Rabindra Bharti University which was a correspondence course.Then I did my BLIS(64%) from Netaji Subhash Open University and now I am doing my MLIS from Karnataka State Open University.I have experience of working in school library for three and half years and now I am working in a renowned hospital library.If I get 55% in my MLIS will I be able to do MPHIL or P HD in distance mode?
My second question is, all of my degrees are through correspondence , so for that it will affect me if I want to do any govt. job? And last of all will I be treated differently from those who have done all the courses in regular in any competetive exam?
